WHAT ABOUT COMPLICATIONS?

​

The American Medical Association has stated that 95% of all births are complication free.  Although complications occasionally occur, the number one question asked of a midwife is "What if we have a complication?" Rest assured we would not take any unnecessary risks for you or your baby.  The mother's and baby's health are monitored carefully through prenatal care, birth and postpartum care.  If a complication arises during labor or delivery that is not manageable at home a transport to the hospital will be made.

Our most sincere desire is that all expectant parents find a health care professional who offers confidence and respectful service. Together, the family and person selected for prenatal care and delivery will work as a team to build a memory of life at its best through a glorious birth experience that will be cherished forever.
